The Jerez Festival: Cradle of Flamenco & Wine

Jerez de la Frontera, in the Andalusian province of Cadiz, is not only the birthplace of sherry wine, but also the music and dance known as flamenco.  Every year, the Jerez Festival presents 16 days of flamenco classes and performances by some of Spain’s most internationally renowned dancers and musicians. Festival season is flamenco at its finest, as well as Jerez at its finest. The city swells with international and local flamenco fans, who infuse every corner of the old town with a festive atmosphere.
