ToritoMedia was founded in 2007 by American journalist and filmmaker Justine Bayod Espoz. Upon moving to Madrid, Spain, Justine worked as a photojournalist and Assistant Editor for Terra Incognita and Editor in Chief of MAP Magazine, both cultural, bilingual (Spanish/English) publications. Through her work with the magazines, Justine discovered both a need and a demand for well written and in-depth cultural reporting in Spain and abroad. ToritoMedia was founded with the goal of filling the cultural reporting void, on a local and international level, as well as to stimulate the creation of bilingual materials to promote a cultural exchange between Spanish speaking countries and English speaking countries. Aside from the content creation, photography and translation services offered, ToritoMedia also addresses said goals with its online, bilingual magazine.
Although ToritoMedia began exclusively as a written content and translation provider, it quickly became evident that photographic and video content went hand in hand with the written content created for clients. The company then began providing photographs with its written content and creating video reports for old and new clients. Several of these photographs and videos are also featured on ToritoMedia’s online blog.
To date, ToritoMedia has created written and video content for publications and web sites in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia and provided translation services for a variety of small businesses in the US and Europe, as well as large multinationals.
